The Law Commission has launched a consultation on updating the Land Registration Act 2002

In March 2016, the Law Commission launched a consultation on whether, and how, the Land Registration Act 2002, should be updated. The Report, Updating the Land Registration Act 2002: A Consultation Paper, No.227 (2016), is available on the Law Commission's website. The Report contains a summary of the current provisions of the Act and the policy justifications for them. The proposals cover, among other things, questions of priority, title guarantee, rectification and indemnity.
